Google Keyword Planner free tool that can be used to find keywords. If you are not using advanced account keyword tools like SEMrush or Longtailpro, you can use the keyword planner google, to search for keywords.
The tool is very easy to use and has multiple functions. There are many options to find exact or correct keywords in this tool. So let’s learn step by step how to use this tool and find keywords.
Step 1: Log in to Google AdWords
Log in to Google Keyword Planner tool free, through Google AdWords. You can log in through your Gmail account as shown in the picture below.
Step 2: Go to Keyword Planner
After logging in, just click the "Tools" tab, as shown in the figure below. Once, click the "Tools" tab and you will see the "Keyword Planner tool". Just click on the Keyword Planner free to enter the tool.
Step 3: How to search and find keywords in Keyword Planner
It takes a while to find keywords. Always remember to target long-tail keywords and the most specific keywords. For example, as shown in the figure below, I entered the keyword "DEXA scan" below. By default, the rest of the settings are in the Keyword Planner tool. The target audience here in the United States (United States of America). Many options are provided in the planner, including "include", "exclude", etc., to filter the correct target keywords. Now, let us check how many results this keyword "DEXA scan" can get in the Google search engine.
Step 4: How to find keywords from keyword ideas
Now, the keyword planner free shows the competition for each keyword, such as high, medium, and low. If you have a new blog, always choose keywords with less competition. As you can see, our keyword competition is low. However, we should also look at the number of results for that keyword. Here, it is the average monthly search volume (in the last 12 months), showing 10,000 to 100,000, which is very high. Now, let's check the number of results in the search engine.
Step 5: Check search engine results for keywords
Now, you see the results of our keywords in the search engine in the picture below. There are approximately 3,27,000 results in the Google search engine that can be used for "DEXA scans." Therefore, many websites have targeted this keyword, so it is difficult to enter the search engine homepage of this keyword.
Step 6: Create long-tail keywords
For now, we will use long-tail keywords. We will search for more specific keywords, such as "CPT code for DEXA scanning". Now, let’s check the keyword ideas for this keyword in the planner. As shown in the figure below, the average monthly search volume for this keyword is about 100 to 1k, and competition is also low. This keyword is very suitable as a target, but we will confirm the number of search results in the search engine.
Step 7: Long-tail keyword search engine results
Now, as shown in the figure below, the number of results for "CPT codes for DEXA scanning" is only 6,400. If we compare it with the "DEXA scan", it is easy to see that the competition for both is very low, but the results in search engines are very good. The long-tail keyword "CPT code for DEXA scan" is less. Any keyword with a result of less than 10k in the search engine is very suitable for positioning.
So, finally, you have the keywords to target. Now, just write a good article, then insert this keyword in the title, h1, h2, meta description, etc., and your article will appear on the homepage of the Google search engine in a few days.
